They look pretty potent and don't seem to be weakening at the present time.

They seem to be weakening to me. You may not even get them at your house OHD!! In fact I may miss them too since they seem to be splitting and going S and SE. They are currently about 70 miles NW of me so I'll be up for at least another hour to watch.

I can see these thunderstorms are not strengthening, but I am not sure you would say they are weakening, they seem to be holding there own to me at this moment.

A portion of the line is weakening, but other portions of it aren't, at least in the last few minutes.

You are right Tom. The portion that is almost gone now is the part that will pass over my side of town, the west side. OHD would have won the bet if anyone had taken it. He and I both will probably get no rain as it looks now. Ticka may get the Cell to the E if it keeps turning more SSE and GarnetCat5 may get some of the heavy stuff off to to the WNW since she lives about 40 miles WSW of the city.

So who thinks that these storms will hold together and/or strengthen and give us some much needed rain in Lafayette? They look like they might be weakening to me!

I don't think so. We certainly didn't get any here in Beaumont. It all dissipated before reaching us. I think the storms that went to the west of Houston made it further south, but from Houston to at least the Louisiana border.....NADA!!!! :(
