I remember these temperataure set-ups. An east wind off of Boston Harbor can turn Boston "very chilly," overcast; while an interior location in Maine is getting a west or southwest wind with mostly sunny to sunny skies.
There have been times in the winter when a cold front is over New Hampshire southwestward to just east of Tampa, Florida..... Temperature in Augusta, Maine, 55 degrees and the temperature in Tampa, Floridad 55 degrees for an hour or two before the frontal system moves through Maine and eventually off the entire eastern seaboard. Of course, the next day, Augusta was in at least the upper 20's or low 30's and Tampa was in the low to mid 60's.
