PDS tornado watch for northern FL and sw Georgia

THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

CENTRAL AND EASTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE
SOUTHWEST GEORGIA
COASTAL WATERS

EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 220 PM UNTIL 900
PM EST.

...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...

DESTRUCTIVE TORNADOES...LARGE HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...
THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE
POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

This is a very dangerous and life threatening situation. Take cover on the lowest floor of your home or business in an interior room that doesn't have windows.

There has been structural damage reported in southeast Alabama and people have been trapped due to tornadoes. Some tornadoes will likely be strong particularly violent long tracked tornadoes with winds possibly of 150 mph or higher.

I was just looking at one particular cell on Moody AFB's radar - there is a 64+ kt inflow jet into this supercell - simply amazing. It has the looks of a classic major tornado producer. Everyone in S. GA and N FL stay safe!!!
