Since i'm partially new here, i'd like to know where our posters are from.

Where are you from?
What kind of weather do you expierence?
What kind do you like?
Skywarn spotter?

Me:

Topeka, Kansas
I have a snow/rain bubble around Topeka, not much.
Warm weather in winter, hail storms, just no tornadoes.
No, but I do send reports to my NWS when we get a severe wx event, but that rarely happens, let alone anything to submit.

Hi David!
You're kidding right? Rarely happens? I see Topeka getting clobbered on a regular basis. :o Heck, Cantore was just there recently I think.

Well, I live just east of Evansville, IN, which is in the SW corner of the state near the Ohio River. Only been here a few months though. We had 21" of snow this winter, which is nearly a record. (chuckle) I've lived in NH for 16 years, and that's where I've seen some SNOW!!!
Although, I think I've seen more hail here in the last couple months that in my whole life. :D
I love all kinds of weather.
I'm not a trained spotter, because I have a stupid, overblown fear of lightning. Maybe someday I'll grow a spine.

Hey ya David!

I am not too far to your SSE in SW Missouri. I live in Monett (on the north side) and live about 4 miles from Pierce City if that gives you a better idea. It does for most now! :)

Missouri is notorious for experiencing pretty much everything...that includes tornadoes.

I like rain and storms, although they don't have to be severe. I hate when the weather stays the same for too long. I get bored.

I am not a SKYWARN spotter, but I am a CWIP observer for the NWS.

Cantore went down to Emporia, which eventually had a tornado close to there.

May 8th had tornadoes go all aorund Topeka. With the rain too. I got some good thunderhead pictures after everything passed N and S of us. Eventually, the storms started to move NE, which would of hit me, but that's ok.

Hi David. :D

You may know my answers, but I will answer then anyway. :)

Where are you from?
I am from central Florida, 23 miles south of Ocala about 70 miles (1 1/2 hours) northwest of Orlando.

What kind of weather do you expierence?
I experience all weather here in Florida, expect snow, it does get cold here from time to time, even just below freezing a few times each winter. This past winter was rather cold for Florida standards.

What kind do you like?
I like all kinds of weather. Experienced snowstorms in southern New England, of course. Thunderstorms are more interesting down here in Florida. Thunderstorms tend to fall apart because of the windflow off the water, south of New England... but sometimes some good ones would roll in. I also am not fond of "boring weather."

Skywarn spotter?
No, I sort of want to, but not interested in going to a Skywarn Trainer Seminar.

JQ, The National Weather Service announces (on NOAA Weather Radio) where the seminars will be.

I live in White Plains NY. Which is 30 miles north of NYC. IT is very hilly here and we never get to see tornadoes but if one does come it is usually very weak. I like big blizzard type snow anything under 5 inches I consider very annoying. I like summer weather and spring. Not a Skywarn watcher.
