Just reported a cell offshore of Hernando County with 100 mph winds. Hopefully it will dissipate before it gets to land.

Whoa that cannot be right! Maybe 100 mph winds aloft? It would have to be a derecho or something. I would love to be in Hernando County right now

As they moved onshore, the winds decreased to 70-80 mph. Heavy rains and lightning. Power outages. This is for the Citrus-Hernando area according to Bay News 9.

BTW, one doesn't need a Derecho to have thunderstorm winds of 100mph.
I saw winds at Dugway UT from a severe high baser that I estimated at 100mph and which were measured by a nearby wind sensor at over 100mph before it failed.

Wow, this is getting scary. That line is coming right for me :eek:

. The lightning in the distance is very intense. Hopefully it doesn't dissipate, I want a show.
