The shortest AFD (we called them FPUS's in those days) was one by (Dry) Dave Bjorem from the PHX Office one Spring Day in the early 1990's.
It said: NO CHG XPCD ALL POPS ZERO. That was it.

Question: Was that discussion one the main early morning/mid-afternoon issuances, or was it an update? I have seen UPDATED AFDs have similar lengths (if you can call it length  ). If that was a regular early morning/mid-afternoon issuance, wow!

It was the afternoon update as I read it while at work and since I was the Chief of the Met Team I didn't work nights or weekends except under special situations.
