Yes it does!!!
The wind is getting progressively stronger here. Sitting inbetween tall buildings (i.e. casinos) creates wind tunnels and alot of bad hair days. This is one of them.

Looks like this mega storm is trying to develop an eye like feature just south of Hatteras. Im just inland here and has gusts to 32 mph in the past hour. No doubt in Virginia Beach along the oceanfront winds are gusting to 50. Earlier this afternoon very heavy convective type rainbands were moving up the Delmarva and could be moving into NJ later.

It was very windy here on the Grand Strand most of the day, with winds easily reaching 35-40 mph, which is nothing to what the OBX are getting that's for sure. Hope eveeryone stays safe and dry.

Its very cold core/extratropical but it seems that it doe's have a are convection near the center. Interesting for May to have one of theses.

Severe thunderstorms were occuring on Hatteras Island yesterday and they were moving NNE. The LLC was east of the area though. The only thing I can think of is that another vortex formed west of the main one. Any feedback?

A distinct possibility George as the main center of circualtion was accelerating away from the coast. Basically it sound like a small MCS may have formed and the followed the upper air flow that was driving the main storm in the same direction.
