We finally got a place up in the mountains. We are almost 2400 ft high. The location is in the country like we wanted. We are almost at the top of the hill. MY temperatures vary because at night the cold air sinks at the top of the hill so my front yard location is 3 degrees warmer than the back where the land drops off. When areas to my east are in the middle 80s we are in the middle to upper 70s. My winds are consistent in the front because my weather equipment is above rooftop level over ground. If you were me where would you take your thermometer data? Sorry it has been so long since I did any posts. I have been so busy looking for a home. The temperature on the hill is 47 degrees and in the back yard is 44 degrees. To me both these temperatures are accurate. we are in madison county in north carolina around the mars hill area. Everybody have a good Monday morning if that is possible with it being a workday for most of you.
