Local met just upped our chances to 40% for tomorrow afternoon and he seemed fairly upbeat about rain chances due to all the storms tonight in north Louisiana. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I think you could be wrong but I am certainly not going to hold my breath while waiting to find out. The high pressure that has been giving us this lovely weather has weakened and moved West some. This may allow the frontal boundary to our North to sink further this way and give the impulses traveling along it a "track" more our way that could produce some showers.(thanks Jeff for your analysis) Of course the fact I watered the lawn last night has nothing to do with that.

 I hear ya David - I've been frantically watering since the weekend hoping my plants will still be alive after our 4-day break in the mountains. I'll be watching that little complex of storms in OK today and doing my raindance to bring it down here. Please please please please please!!!

I am fed up with watering! I've noticed some juicy looking clouds building up outside, a noticeable change from the past couple of weeks so hopefully today will be the day.

Clouds this AM...but no rain.

At least they're keeping the temps down a little. Still 78 here at 11 AM when it's usually near 90.

Been sizzling this week, just impossible weather. To think it's only May!

Take one for the team Duck  ! I'm willing to forgo all outdoor activities this weekend in favor of a washout, it's just that bad around here.

...we've been just the opposite here (temp and precipitation wise) in the Mid Atlantic and Northeast and have been saying WHERE IS MAY??

It's in the mid 50's today with rain. I wish I could share some of it with all of you. :(

I can attest to it being hot. I just got through with the yardwork and the only water falling was my sweat. I noticed the Weather Channel website upped the rain chances here to 30% today and 40% tomorrow. I hope they are right. I have been putting quite a dent in the city's water supply this month.
