Finally!

Finally had a decent shower this afternoon. Picked up .68" of rain at the local tv station, doubling what we previously had for the month...so this is a big deal for us 
. Hopefully we can start off June on a wet note to continue our "wet" spell. Most areas around Lafayette have had 2-5" this past week so overalll drought conditions have been greatly alleviated.
We're moving into a typical summertime weather regime with afternoon showers and thunderstorms forecasted daily througout the next 7 days. Some of the biggest summer storms I can remember occur on 30% days so I'll go out on a limb and call off the drought of 2005
