The cell with the tornado has been downgraded to a severe thunderstorm... they are taking the chopper to another cell in levingworth (spelling?) county that is still rotating. The tornado warning is still active for that storm.

I live in the metro KC area and have been following the severe weather which is off to my NW. Yes, there was a tornado that briefly touched down near Oskaloosa, KS. It was a very weak tornado. That video is from KMBC, Channel 9, here in KC. We have three TV stations with news helicopters.

There have been several reports of wall clouds and funnel clouds in both Jefferson and Leavenworth counties.

did you just hear the hail on that broadcast hitting the news vehicle? They are doing some outstanding coverage. The Met from the Kansas city channel has been talking almost nonstop... his throat has to be killing him. Wish we got such great coverage up here.

Storm in Franklin County has strong rotation. People in Ottawa, KS need to take cover.
