I just turned to the local HD 24 hour radar, and the t-storms approaching Manteo had two imbedded meso warnings. They disappeared on the next update. T-storm looks viscous on radar! Two seperate clusters of purple, heavy lightning. New one just popped up in mainland Dare County.

The previous storm fizzled as it got to Manteo, NC, but looking at the radar presently there are strange things afoot:

North of a line running from Roanoke Rapids to Manteo, and the east of a line running due south from Manteo through Cape Hatteras the storms are moving N, but west and south of that area there are showers SW , E, and NE. It almost looks like there is a small L right over the Pamlico Sound, and Cindy's remnants aren't strong enough to make everything go N in that area.
