I'm up here in Montgomery County waiting for the rain. Checking my weatherbug radar to watch it come in. I hope it holds together.

The line might have broken up a little bit but a strong storm is about to move into Houston, I hope yall get soaked!
wondering...

I know that the storms have broken up as they have moved over Houston. But I am wondering what the chances are of the storm stalling out over Houston for a while--you know, as it gets closer to Gulf waters, slowing down and either stalling out or turning around.
It's wishful thinking. Even with this last couple days of rain, we are still over 9 inches behind in our rainfall.

KOW what's going on... seems like we have showers moving in from the GOM and this line of storms moving down to the coast? What is causing this to happen?
I have seen this before and its rained for days.

Well Ticka, it IS that time of the year...
*Houstonia looks around her and whispers the dreaded word...
"Allison"*
No, but really--don't we get storms like this around this time of year? Storms moving in a circular fashion that draws rain in from the Gulf?
Heck, i don't know... y'all tell me...

That's just the seabreeze showers moving in from the GOM - usually don't have that strong of line of storms moving down from the North.....
Waiting on an expert's opinion. KOW-VBHOUTEX- any one!!!!

Well from what i am seeing it looks like you have a disturbance moving in from the nw..........As that is happening it appears to be drawing in moisture up from the south in the Gulf.............And thier is a disturbance as well off the TX/MX coast in the Gulf aiding in the added precip..............Either way it looks to be a very stormy afternoon long the upper TX coast line as well as the LA coastline.....................

SE Texas will be VERY wet for the rest of today, I hope no one floods!

Well, my rain was very brief.
Oddly, there was a line of stronger storms making their way to the Beaumont area from the northwest earlier. Now there is a line going away from Beaumont, but not much passed over us. A little while ago I thought we would get pounded soon, but now I don't know what the heck is going on! It looks like a big hurricane over SE Texas and Beaumont is in the eye!!

Not a chance of flooding here. How does it look in the Houston area?
