6/10/03 : Looking Pretty Rough!

Tomorrow looks to be another big severe weather day. Here is my take on the situation...

The thunderstorms that are in progress right now will organize into a complex and track across much of Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois overnight into the morning. This will probably leave behind boundaries which will focus development of thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. The threat with these storms appears to be some extremely large hail and damaging winds, but some tornadoes appear possible. The threat for any long-lived tornadoes appears relatively low at this time.

The areas of greatest concern to me at this time will be across extreme SE Kansas and NE Oklahoma across the southern half of Missouri and far northern Arkansas through the bootheel into SW Illinois. It looks as if clouds and ongoing convection may limit widespread severe development into Indiana and Ohio, but some severe weather is not out of the question there either. It is just that conditions appear more marginal.

That is my take on the situation. Comments/Suggestions appreciated and welcomed... Garrett

I agree KOW. If the sun can come into Indiana and Ohio, it could be rough there as well. We will have to wait and see tomorrow.
