A quick note: just because there is nothing severe in some of these areas now does not mean there will not be anything later tonight!

Good point. The storms can go severe at any time. You should be on your guard with a NOAA Weather Radio by your side before you go to bed tonight!

Good NOWcasting jobs, KOW and the Rock ...
I'm not surprised at all with the activity in Arkansas and Texas ... North Central Texas earlier tonight had a CAPE value of 6000 j/kg and SE AR/West Mississippi of 5000 j/kg around 8 pm tonight (when I issued a special outlook and advised you would be working on this one).

Figures I am not in Massachusetts when severe weather is possible. They Hazardous Weather Outlook issued from the Taunton, MA National Weather Service office, Wednesday at 6:30am ET mentioned that some thunderstorms may be severe late (meaning yesterday)... As of Monday night-Tuesday morning... southern New England was expecting thunderstorms Wednesday and Friday, not so much today (Thursday).
