Hopefully we'll get enough out of this to really help our situation down here. I got nearly 1 1/2 inches yesterday and not only is there no standing water anywhere, the ground is already dry!

Forecast Discussion
Showers And Thunderstorms Likely This Weekend....
An upper level low will develop over Northeast Texas over the weekend which will help to generate numerous showers and thunderstorms in our area into early next week. Some of the storms will be heavy with rainfall totals in excess of two inches in a 24 hour period.
With more clouds, temperatures will be a little cooler during the afternoon.

Kelly,
Things look bad to our west - headed this way. Going to get two lines of storms here.
Keep in touch and post if you can on your conditions.

It's getting dark early tonight and the wind is really picking up. It hasn't started raining yet but I can hear the thunder already.

Well, when today didn't bring a lot of rain, they reduced our chance from 70% to 40%
Glad they saw it coming...

Rumbling here at the house, but no rain yet. Radar show it Ne of us and moving towards Ticka. Looks like you will miss it today Kelly. If you don't it will be because it is expected to get real stormy later, even though nothing seems to be getting going yet. Still plenty of time.

I never got anything last night David, but we had some heavy thunderstorms this morning. It was loud in church and then light rain for a few hours. By late afternoon, it was sunny and everyone got to go swimming at my parents.
Well, the drought situation is looking a little better but I still haven't had much accumulation here. Less than a half an inch at my house today, but a whole lot more at church and when we out for lunch.
We're still way below average for rainfall the last few months.
Monday - 70% T'storms
Tuesday - 60% T'storms
Wednesday - 50% T'storms
Thursday - 40% T'storms
Friday - 40% T'storms

It seems that some spots just haven't gotten as much rain as others. I think we need some days to dry out over here.

Yes, sure seems like you do! :o I've been looking at the radar and I've noticed that Louisiana has been picking up quite a LOT of rain the last few days! Hopefully you won't get any more!

70% chance for Monday....and the rain missed me again. :8:
Everyone around me got rain though, some of it heavy...and all I got was a very brief period of very light drizzle. :8:
Seriously, if I didn't need rain so bad, this would almost be comical...how the good rains keep missing me. Oh well...:8:

I awoke at 2 am this morning to lots of thunderstorms and lightening. I love when it rains in the middle of the night. It was still raining on my way into work but now the sun is out. More storms expected this afternoon.
