I have had over an inch so far in Manassas, VA. ETA is printing out 6 inches in total. Mountain flooding will be fierce.

Yeah, looks like Central PA and Upstate NY was the bull's eye. We had some showers here off and on 15 miles south of Philadelphia. We're still supposed to see alot of rain this evening into tomorrow.

It was drizzling around 3PM at McGuire AFB when I left to go home. When I got to Philly, there was one intense squall..now it's kinda a mist rain, but it's really humid (why do I have a feeling we'll have a week of fall and smack winter????)

That's kind of what happened with Spring - NONE to Summer. I hope not!!
We finally started to get a steady rain last night. When I checked my rain gauge this morning it looked like we had .75" of rain. The radar shows more to come.

UNCLE!!!!
When I got up this morning my rain guage was overflowing, (almost 6") have had another 1 1/2" since, haven't been out in about a half hour though and it is coming down hard. I know we needed this, but the river is getting full.........

It's either feast or famine, isn't it?
I was getting a sickening feeling yesterday that the rain was going to stay to the west of us. I think I've been pretty fortunate down here in South Jersey that we're getting a soaking rain and not a flooding one. Unfortunately Weathermom, there's more to come for you.
I wonder how the people in central PA and upstate NY have fared.

Any idea if that heavy rain area over the Carolinas will move off the coast before getting as far as North Jersey??

It appear to be over here in Warrenton, with a total of 5.39 inches since it all began, and much heavier rain has missed us several time to the east (which means that dreeze is getting nailed!), and a station 15 min south of here in Bealeton has recorded almost 7.5" of rain. Needless to say, our pond has flooded badly and today's total rain of 2.76" is more than we got when Isabel passed through here.

Not sure how much we got in Hampton but we had several hours of moderate to occasionally heavy rain. Roads were horrible and I found many busy intersections flooded and many residential streets were impassable.

Rain guage was overflowing this morning, dumped another 3" before I went out this afternoon, and it was overflowing when I got home this evening. Dumped it again and it has another inch in it (an hour or so later). Adds up to well over a foot. River is coming over the banks now. We'll just have to keep watching it and see how far it comes up.

I know the Delaware & Surekill are under flood warnings, my girlfriend lives near the Delaware in NJ, when I talked to her this afternoon she said it was getting up there. I hope Rt 206 doesn't flood out when I go to the AFB on Monday
Keep safe weathermom

Its going down!!
Came close, but not into the house. Only water in the house came from the top. Dormer leaked, husband was on the roof putting on tarp during some of the heaviest rain. O well, maybe it is time for a new roof!
Angelwing- don't know anything yet how it is farther west, safe ride today.

My rain gauge this morning had 1.5" of rain. It came down pretty hard yesterday afternoon into the evening. I saw that Philadelphia had about 6" of rain and there were alot of flood warnings on the PA side of the river and Northern NJ. We were under a watch. We were just far enough to the East to benefit from the rain, but not drown in it.
I'm glad that your home is alright Weathermom!
