Major Flooding In Northeast

#1 Postby Duffy » Wed Oct 12, 2005 10:17 am

I am suprised this story didn't get much press on the Boards, but we got 10 and a half inches of rain where i am on the Coast of Maine...they got it real bad in New Hampshire...the Governor there has declared a state of emergency....residents said it was like a Tsunami!!!!!!!
up to ten people are presumed dead..they said it was the worst flooding in 25 years in some places!!!!!!
I believe this was a combination of the remnance of Tammy and a frontal Boundry that was the culprit
In closing i would like to say i am dissapointed in a sense....the Hurricane Belt is not the ONLY part of the Country that is affected by bad weather...i thought someone would have said something about this by now...sometimes being on this Board and being from New England i feel left out :( Its like no one cares about us up here
Just putting in my two cents
