Do any of you [when bored] check the weather in random cities across the US/World? If so, what are some good cities to check out?

My fav is Mt Washington nh

http://www.weather.com/weather/local/US ... earch_city

Winds: From WNW at 103 mph
gusting to 120 mph

... with Heavy Freezing Rain, insane :D

Theres a few others I check randomly like barrow, ak but rarely are they as interesting as Mt Washington.

Here is Agata, (Siberia) Russia: http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/fin ... %2C+russia Last year they had a high of -48F and a low of -52F in November. It usually is the coldest place in the Northern Hemisphere during the winter months (not right now though, it may take another month).

Mt. Washington supposedly had its worst October storm on record this weekend...34 inches of ice/snow with huge drifts; max wind gust 136 mph...

In the interest of accurary, Mount Washington isn't exactly a city, as no one actually lives there...

Still pretty neat to check out, though!

Technicially, the station is man year round. So no, its not a city, but ppl do live on the summit of the mountain.

..And really, what a month up on Mt. Washington... the summit has seen 79.1 inches of snow for this month (October 2005 alone), over 25% of the normal ANNUAL snowfall.

Unfathomable.
