Hey guys, figured I'd post some of the pics I took last year. These are mine so mods dont have to worry about any sort of copyright issues.

Nice pics! That first one reminds me a lot of what our target storm looked like as it passed through Shawnee on 3/21 of last year. That's an interesting little scud feature with the wispy rising motion.

Those pics were from a tornadic supercell about 10 mins after those pics were shot it put down a tornado. Those clouds were be drawn up into a significant updraft at a rather odd portion of the storm. It was pretty cool. That was a nice storm, classic supercell storm but moving in a non classic direction (south and east). That wall cloud in the pics was impressive in person and was rotating pretty hard. The inflow on the west side of the storm was amazing. 70+ mph winds...all the plants in potts along the east side of the hotel were blown into the parking lot. Not small pots I'm talking 3ft tall pots and about 30 inches in diameter some had trees in them. It was pretty impressive. About 40 mins after that storm rolled through some more rolled through but at that point it was too dark for pics.

Was that from one of the many localized severe cells?

Total there is two or three different storms

Yeah that was pretty nuts...it was at a strange spot in the storm too

ive never really seen a huge updraft like that before...but I can remember in 2000 I went outside to hang w/ my friends, turned to the west and saw the most incredable funnel cloud of my life...it was rotating really strong...if that thing had touched down it wouldve nailed my house with, id guess, F3 damage!

nope sorry...I was only 9 at the time, and my parents tried to find a camera, but no luck...o well

Would be scary for a 9 yr-old to see let alone an adult! Thankful that it didn't touch down, cheezy...as I'm sure that you are!

HOLY CRAP!!! It reminds me when Charley was making landfall. I looked up and a cloud so huge and black I thought the hurricane was formed from fire smoke. :eek:

If that thing touched down I wouldnt be here now...it was pretty cool though...I maybe in on some severe weather today... maybe Ill be able to take some pics

I was in a borderline F3/F4 in 1986 and since then I've been hooked on weather. Luckily our home somehow avoided destruction. The house next door on both sides of us lost their second floors. Further to the south entire houses were just gone. Stuff behind us...GONE...it was impressive...

I've had many close calls with tornadoes, but luckily I have never been hit directly. One of my closest calls was last year in Mossouri. I was less than a mile away from a strong tornado and just west of my area they reported downburst winds of over 100mph. Where I was located we had 70mph winds, dime sized hail and incredible lightning. I have also had many close calls with water spouts. My most amazing moment has still got to be Hurricane Charley though. There is nothing like winds gusting well over 100mph and watching as things all around you are destroyed over the period of an hour or two.

OH YEAH: And in 2004 during Hurricane Jeanne, I can remember a moment when I could see a "wall of wind" moving toward my house. I can not say for sure if it was a tornado, but this "wall" moved very slowly down my street and then hit my area. When it hit, winds went quickly from 45mph up to about 80mph and lasted that way for a good 20-30 seconds. It was one of the weirdest things I had ever seen. I know it could not of been a downburst, and it would be weird if it was a gust because this "wall" was not moving that fast and I could watch it come toward me. I think this may have been a rain-wrapped F0 tornado. :?:
