If this verified(not that I belive it would) would it mean a huge severe weather outbreak over NTX?

Why do you think it would? I dont see how that would result in a major outbreak. There's way too many other variebles no on that chart. Furthermore as you said 312 hours out? EEK we can't even get svr weather right 1 day out muchless 15.

lol...ya...one thing ive noticed in the past is that when a forecast involves a large severe weather outbreak those reds pop up on the qpf amnts...another reason why I asked that is because I noticed it didnt have any strong upper level winds shown in the 200mb winds panel so I was wondering" why would it be like that if there was no upper level shear or anything...also Im aware that its 312 hrs out thats why i put "(not that i belive it would)" up there

It's the 312 hr GFS. Even if it was at a closer time interval, large amounts of QPF does not necessarily mean an outbreak.
