More rain for Southeast, Texas

Last week we had alot of deep moisture to work with which lasted most of the week. I figured after the moisture levels dropped off that we would more than likely start going into a hot and dry pattern....it's just that time of year.
Well rain chances look good for most of this coming up week...so much for that idea. As of now the radar over southeast, Texas is looking pretty good with scattered popcorn convection firing up over the area.

Post up what you are seeing out there today. Just south of Lake Conroe dam it looks like rain but nothing yet.
On a side note: It looks like we might have to keep an eye on that wave east of the islands going into next weekend or soon after.

There's a lot of popcorn convection in the area here. It's missed me so far, but there's some creeping ever so slowly towards me now and very close. I couldn't go to church this morning, but my sister called me asking what was going on because it had been pouring for hours and there was street flooding. At the time, I hadn't even checked a radar. The same small storms seem to be basically just sitting in the same area, meandering around just a little. And there's a lot of it scattered around, and they're heavy cells too.
Funny how the other day, they said today was either 20% or 30% chance of mainly afternoon showers and now they've upped it to 50% for today and tonight, and increased chances the next few days too. We did get a lot of rain last week, but on some of those days where there was like 90% chance, it just didn't materialize to much and there's more today.

It looks like the central and western portions of Houston are getting a darn good thunderstorm right now.

Got a little over an inch out of the last one through here. Brief heavy downpour and then steady for a little while and now hot and sunny again.

We had some heavy storms over here in Lafayette this afternoon. There was an urban and small stream flood advisory for a while too. I'd estimate 2-3" fell in some areas but more like an inch at my home. Chances of rain look pretty high for the next few days so we can expect more of the same.

We just missed that gully washer up here in Montgomery County. We got a little bit of light rain off of it but it was really storming just off to my north....maybe about 3 to 5 miles. It looks like two to three inch rain totals out of it off to my north.
