Bow echo, this thing turned day into night here. 50mph winds, very heavy rain, brief loss of power. Lots of lightning. I got pictures I'll link when I upload them.

I got the same thing last night. Some places in Ontario are just in a huge mess right now. 2 people got killed too.

Definately a good bow echo gowing through central NJ right now. 55mph gust is quite the winds that for ahead of the storm. Note that the radar image correspons to the time of that observation, but the lightning does not.

wow, a 55-60mph gust is strong enough to do some damage. Hopefully everything is ok out there.

Push some of that stuff here to Texas. I don't care hoe severe the storm is, we need the rain!

On the way to work, seen a lot of downed trees, our power flickered but we were ok, but 3 blocks from us no power, no traffic lights working. Last I heard over 200,000 people still have no power and might not have it restored until the weekend as there were a lot of transformers that blew up (my sister in law is without power, she was in a bad zone 50 miles from me)

Based on everything I can piece together, over 1.5 million people lost power at one point. Worst derecho since May 31, 1998 from what I can see.

We had a hellicious thunderstorm and the thunder! I never heard thunder that bad before! And the light show was awesome, very scary as it looked like some of the lightening strikes hit a few places, but it was awesome!

Not at all. It was a cold front that was moving west to east.

Thunder is that sound you hear after you see lightning. What is rain you ask? Rain is these wet drops that fall out of the sky when there are clouds that are bursting. Rain can fall either heavy or not so heavy. Thunderstorms have rain often. I hope I have answered your questions correctly and the way you want.
