Looking For A Hot Night In Town?

I'm not sure where it stacks up officially, but Friday night in Scottsdale the LOW temperature was 98 degrees (Scottsdale Airport reading).
And I can't imagine a night with your girlfriend at the local outdoor theater (we do have one with multiple screens) last night! Picture yourself sitting next to your honey, wrapped in a blanket, windows rolled down, and temperatures above 100!
The low temperature overnight Saturday night was only 99, and it was 103 at 2 am.
I do suspect, however, that there were a gazillion successful late night pool parties in this town (much to the dismay of neighbors).
There have been nights in the low 90's every summer here, but the last two nights have been another story.

The overnight low last night at Sky Harbor was 97, I believe, and that will break the
all time high minimum temperature record for Phoenix today if it holds till midnight.
Glad I live in Oklahoma now.

Here in Seattle the record high minimum temperature is 68F. On Saturday we tied that record and again today we only dropped to 68F, that seems highly unusual.

Well, the low of 97F didn't hold this morning. The temp briefly dipped down to 95F in Phoenix earlier today.
No all time record.

We've come really close here. 80F is our record high low and we got down to just 77 on 2 straight nights, and we've had several nights with lows at 75 or 76, as well.
But man, I couldn't imagine...100 degrees at night!! I have a hard enough time with 100 degrees during the day...

Well we (Seattle) finally broke our highest minimum temperature with 70F on Sunday. This latest heat wave has been very impressive so far.

Poppysky, I have been watching your temps - we got up into the 100°'sF last
week, and, everyone here is suddenly appreciative of low 90's°F!! Add the
humidity, and, the air was like SOUP!
Those dismayed neighbors will probably be forgetting about the pool party noise,
wandering over, and saying, "Hey - can we join you?" Fire up the grill and
the cold drinks - heck, make the best of it.
Hang in there, my friend!

The lowest "overnight low" I can remember here was 81. But the heat index remained in the low 90s even overnight...thank God I had air conditioning then...
