One heckuva line of storms blowing-up from this outflow boundry. I'm near the Galleria now and we are getting pounded.

the line of storms seems to be intensifying as it heads WNW. Wouldn't be surprised to see a warning come out of this.

High winds just slammed into Spring! They were high enough to flip a large outdoor (metal) lawn chair and bend a small tree over. We probably just got 40-60mph gusts. Crazy!
UPDATE: Another gust just knocked over another one of those lawn chairs and the small bent tree is nearly completely over. These are not typical T-storm winds. I am also surprised there is no warning or Special weather statement.

Torrential rain in downtown but has let up. I am also surprised no Severe Thunderstorm Warning or Small Stream Advisory. Quite a view from the 26th floor of 1100 Louisiana.

It's all gone now, but had a very heavy thunderstorm earlier - it was POURING.
Rain is the norm these days though - they should rename us the Golden Rainforest, instead of the Golden Triangle. Yes, I know....lame.

We got 1.72" here at the house in Spring Branch. It was within about 1/2 an hour too so there was local street flooding.
BTW, KD, what are you doing at 1100 Louisiana? I thought that building was all City of Houston employees.

1100 Louisiana is where Enbridge is located. The own many gas plants and piplines. We are working on finalizing the first of many gas control HMI applications for the central control room. Not sure who else is in the building. We have several floors.
