It looks like it was taken down the path length...it looks like that is not the actual width, but the length instead...cool photo though...looks to be maybe a 1/4 mile wide? not good with measuring distances though...and I could be wrong...(if you know what I mean...)

Indeed, i guessed 300 m, too. Half a mile ist pretty much for germany i think. The pic belongs to my thread in "global".
Are there downburst-signs in it ?

Like what brunota said, it's probably 1/4 mile wide. What's amazing is that the house on the left side of the pic (Not too far from the damage path) managed to stay standing throughout the disaster.

That´s true indeed. A downburst would have damaged the roof, too....
I tend to say tornado. The pic with the pantile sucking in the roof, makes it look like.

well...it could be straight-line winds also...notice the trees all appear to be blown over in one similar direction...however it is a pantile...and I cant tell the direction for sure...maybe a pro met could help?

I've seen that picture and some other pictures of the damage in that area. It appears to me that those are straight line or possibly downburst winds. Normally a tornado path, especially through woods will show some twisting and those are all laying the same way or very near it. It does appear that most of the the trees are snapped off above the ground, which is typical of tornado damage, so that makew me wonder, but my best guess, as an amatuer is straight line winds unless someone has pictures of the twister in that location.

There was another Tornado in that area that night. As to trees, they were twisted. Look:
