In October 1996 we had about three hours of snow in the air down here in Sierra Vista. The gorund was much too warm for any of it to stick but the video I took made clear that it was definitely snowing at a decent clip with the air temperature dropping to 32F in the mid afternoon. My record low for October was set that year at 28F. FHU has actually had snowcover in October and a record low well below freezing. Also, in October 1994 we had sleet at the house with snow cover in the Mountains and October 2000 had enough snow in the Huachucas to remain for several days after it fell.

LOL!!! Well, I'll tell ya, I finished up my weather stats for the summer of '06....

I averaged 5-8° BELOW normal temps for the month of August and Sept., June was average, July was above average for "6 DAYS" and that's IT Precip was 200% ABOVE normal and the way this pattern has set up, it appears that this up coming winter MAY be "THE" winter I've been looking forward to for 15 years now (x's his fingers)

Steve....notice I said "recent" memory? That's because I can't remember what happened YESTERDAY let alone 4-5 yrs. ago

Actually, Oct. 2004 we had snow on 9 Oct., my birthday, we were in ALBQ. then, just like this year's gonna be....I remember our son calling and tellin us that it was snowing and if I remember correct, that was about the ONLY snow we had that year!

Cincinnati is looking at possibly some snow flurries Friday morning with temps down to 32°!

Just got back from vacation last night and it SNOWED like a son of a GUN in New Mexico whilst we'uns were over yonder 5-6" in the Sangro De' Christos near Santa Fe and 2" up on the top of the Sandia Peaks in ALBQ and COLD.....MAN was it COLD

It's been cold in our area too.
