just heard on TWC, most severe thunderstorm reports for a december day in PA/NY
Previous record: 8
Today: 106+
Also I think I overheard that PA may have recorded it's first tornado on record in the month of December.
what a wild day,

wow

the final was 121 reports, 116 were wind, with one of those estimated at 65 knots...(so they got their own little black block) 1 tornado report (confirmed F1) and 4 hail reports with a maximum size of 0.88 inches in diameter...

there were 3 confirmed tornadoes in PA --- one of them being an F2 with a total path of 15 miles (mostly at F1 status) but still an extreme event for PA anytime of year

sorry for posting late: High at Williamsport on Dec 1: 70. Previous record: 59
Talk about shattering a record, all right.
The high on Dec 2 was 42. It was a strong system to say the least.
