That sucks. I remember in 2002, two days before Christmas, we had a strong line of severe thunderstorms. The power went out for 12 hours. I feel for them.

Rain! Finally some rain! We're still 15.5" below normal for the year.

CM I kinda gave up on that deficit a few months ago, realizing we weren't going to make it up. It was just THAT dry for the first 6 months of the year, even with normal precip this fall (october well above normal, november a little below) there's no way to make it up without a major flood lol. It sure is coming down out there, and we should pick up a good 2-3" tonight just looking at the radars. Traffic is a MESS so be careful out there!

All that rain is good news for the crawfish crop. Last year was bad for the crawfish lovers because of the drought after katrina and Rita.....MGC

Yeah it is still gloomy outside. This weather is not good for my cold. Been sick for a week and a half with this stupid cold. We got a lot of rain the last 2 days. The scariest was when I got off work at 6 p.m. Wed and had to drive in it. It was dark and pouring down rain. I almost had a panic attack, heart was racing, palms all sweaty. Because my wreck happened at night in the rain and was having flashbacks. Only drove 40 mph the whole 9 miles home and could barely see the road. I was so scared!
