Florida rainfall potential thread

I'm starting this thread for any rainfall prospects that will likely affect the area with much needed rainfall because the 11pm news said their were 95 brush fires occurring around the state at that time.
Other than seabreeze convection this afternoon the next shot of rain is on Sunday from a back door front.
Lake Okeechobee Stage on 04/29/2007
Lake Okeechobee Stage: 9.66 feet

Well I live near the coast in North Palm Beach so we are not getting any of the afternoon thunderstorms as they are developing in the interior areas. Although today we are under a severe thunderstorm watch, so I hope we get a little rain today.
BTW: Lake Okeechobee is at 9.49 today. Less than one foot above the record low of 8.97 set in May 2001

We had some big rumblers here in the Tampa Bay area last night...under a ST Watch right now...bring on the rain...we need it!

Same thing here.. Mostly inland. With the front approaching from the NNE were hoping the storms are a little more widespread today. There were a few very intense cells yesterday that unfortunately only sprinkled here.. It's lighting up pretty good right now with a TStorm Watch issued. Of course dry air after frontal passage and fire issues most likely tomorrow..

IN SPITE OF A MORE FAVORABLE THERMODYNAMIC PROFILE AS SHOWN BY THE
12Z SOUNDINGS SATURDAY, SUBSIDENCE AND RELATIVELY LOW MOISTURE
SHOULD LIMIT CONVECTION TODAY. ANY ISOLATED SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS
THAT DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON SHOULD DIE DOWN BY 10 PM. IT LOOKS
BETTER FOR CONVECTION SUNDAY AND DOWNRIGHT OPTIMISTIC FOR MONDAY
AS ANDREA MOVES AWAY AND AFTERNOON SEA BREEZE CIRCULATIONS GET
GOING TO ENHANCE CONVERGENCE.
This made me laugh:
IT LOOKS BETTER FOR CONVECTION SUNDAY AND DOWNRIGHT
OPTIMISTIC FOR MONDAY
FOR THE EXTENDED PERIOD...A RIDGE BECOMES ESTABLISHED OVER THE
CAROLINAS MONDAY THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK, PROVIDING A MUCH MORE
NORMAL EASTERLY FLOW ACROSS THE FLORIDA PENINSULA. EXTENDED GUIDANCE
ALMOST APPEARS TO SHOW RAINY SEASON STARTING FOR PARTS OF MAINLAND
SOUTH FLORIDA. HPC QPF THROUGH WEDNESDAY SHOWS MORE THAN THREE
QUARTERS OF AN INCH ACROSS ALL OF MAINLAND SOUTH FLORIDA WITH SOME
LOCATIONS RECEIVING AS MUCH AS TWO INCHES.
Yes!!! This is good news for Florida...let's hope the rainy season starts very soon

Usually inland areas get the heavy rains earlier in the season
and then coastal areas get the rain later after a couple
weeks.

Wife had a torrential downpour in NE Broward (Margate, Pompano) with lightning. It lasted perhaps 15 minutes at 12:45pm-1:00pm. I didn't see anything at all besides some clouds to the north here (west side of FLL off Marina Mile)

Seems like the central east coast got some some rain today and a few of those showers made it to OTown, we got some sprinkles earlier this afternoon.

Yesterday.. Everybody in the state it seemed BUT ME got some rain.. Plus we had those crazy hail storms.. Today.. One of the widely isolated storms made it to St Cloud which is the next town over from me.. But I maybe got 2 drops of rain if I was lucky...
I love the beautiful weather {if it wasn't smoky from the fires}.. BUT I WANT SOME RAIN!
