Just checked on the FL weather and Wow are you guys down in South FL having a cool Fall day or what!

64 degrees with cloudy skies in Plantation. BROWARD, at 2:15 PM

Been a looooong time since that happened down there in MID OCTOBER! Reminds me of the old fashioned Falls I experienced down there like 25 years ago.

I'm not putting much emphasis on CPC winter outlook. Common denominator Triple LA Nina. Didn't pan out too well for hurricane season. Pacific way more then predicted and hurricane hitting Mexico as I text.. I'm going more with Farmers Alamac which if not read almost opposite of CPC. Will see how it pans out

After it seemed Ian had ended the rainy season in FL, today right now in Pinellas the radar looks like late July rather than late October with seabreeze-driven showers and storms heading west through the county towards the Gulf, and yesterday I was dodging pop-up storms along I-75 in Sumter and Hernando County.

Looks like some cooler weather may be coming up which'll be nice. Too bad October didn't get any more cold fronts.

NEWS BREAK: For most of us here in Florida, plan on seeing at least a little bit of rain this Thursday LOL

After Nichole a pattern flip will bring us back to our dry season pattern with a cold front slated to come through by Sunday and again later next week!

I've been looking at teleconnections from models for Dec. I would like some cooler weather down here. Looks like the NAO/AO going negative for beginning Dec. Hoping for at least cool down

Oh I'm not referring to that map Mike. I'm talking about latest teleconnections of NAO/AO for Dec. Could flip again but looking more negative as we get in dec

We are deep into the old broken record forecast here, with a dominant SW Atlantic ridge showing up pretty much through the entire long range GFS runs. Granted, it does look like much of Florida will have a little below normal weather next Thursday and Friday, but it does *not* appear that South Florida will be participating as we are still showing up as a warm anomaly more or less south of I-4. I guess whatever front just doesn't get the push and ends up washing out and dissipating around Lake O.

So yesterday's 18Z had the 540 line all the way down to almost I-4 on 12/12-13. Now that whole idea is dropped entirely. I thought that was pretty suspect....

Just goes to show, even if there is a record breaking NAO-, it doesn't necessarily mean FL will get cold.....just like a NAO+ doesn't mean we won't get cold.

We haven’t even dropped below 70 yet for an overnight low South Florida doesn’t get cold fronts anymore like it used to growing up.

Indeed, look how negative the NAO has been yet no real cold air for Florida.

Man this weather is just perfect. 80ish highs with low to mid 60's lows and 60ish dewpoints in the bay area...it's just divine. And we get another week. How wonderful
