Durban - Two children and two adults were killed in flash floods that hit the Ndwedwe area, north of Durban, on Tuesday, reported SABC news on Wednesday.
They died when houses collapsed on them. Others who were injured were taken to clinics and hospitals.
The Ilembe district council has made available blankets and tents to accommodate thousands of people left destitute by the storm, which hit several areas in the Ndwedwe district.
Government departments sent representatives to assess the damage.
