Well, 5 to 25C, not in a city. But in the South Brasil, that´s 3 states! And 5C in the coldeste cities, and 25C in the beaches.

Frost in some citis!

Yeah, I understand that it's not just one city, but even for three states that a descent range. Even today... 2C to 26C is still a huge difference! Then again... it's getting into winter...

I noticed a cold front came through southern Brazil during the past few days. Did that bring down the temperatures any? Also, I never realized until now that those mountains along the coast there in Paraná and Santa Catarina were 1,000m tall. Wow.

Yes!
The highest one is around 1.825m!
VERY COLD IN THE PAST WEKEND IN TEH SOUTH BRASIL MOUNTAIS!!!!! tHE TEMPERATURES GO DOWN -5c IN MANY CITIES!! LAKES HAVE ICE ON THEM AND I WALK IN A LAKE AT 11:00 AM IN THE MORRO DA IGREJA, THE HIGHEST ONE!! IT WAS REALYY NICE!!! THE WIND CHILL WAS AROUND -15c/-20c IN THE NIGTH FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY. THIS MORNING THE SNOW FELT IN FEW MINUTES IN SOME MOUTAINS NEAR SÃO JOAQUIM.

Today was a very strange day!! Many, many Cbs, but not too much rain. Tomorrow we are going to have strong stroms in all south Brasil!
Hoje foi um dia bem stranho! Muitos muitos Cbs, mas não muita chuva.
Amanhã teremos tempestades fortes em todo o sul do Brasil!

Acordei hoje por volta da 8:10 com trovoadas fortes, resolvi acordar e ficar de plantão, estava na sala de Tv e a janela estava semi aberta pra que eu pudesse ver as nuvens né. Olhei pra fora e uma nuven gigaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaante, aquelas shelf cloud, tipo assim, tinham 2 Cbs enorrrrrrrrrrrrrrmes, um em casa ponta da nuvenzona, e entre eles, aquelas nuvens que vinha meio que rolando! No Cb do Norte, tinha uma nuvem em forma de S que tocava o chão, era meio parecido com um tornado, mas estava muito longe pra confirmar. A nuvem avançava de Oeste para Leste, a chuva já caia e subi no telhado, começei a tremer sei lá se foi por culpa dos raios, do telhado molhado ou do vento, mas por culpa dessa tremedeira, a maioria das fotos não sairam bem!!
Pessoal, uma nuvem de tormenta como essas, no meio do inverno, é de preocupar!!!
I woke up around 8:10AM with strongs thunders, I go to the Tv room and whait for the storm, when I loked out the window, OH MY GOd!!!!! a SUPER CEL!!!! A shelf cloud!!!! there were 2 giantes Cbs, one at north other in south, and bettwen them, the shef cloud. I went to the roof, it was raing already, soo the photos wasent too good!!
A storm like these, in winter!!!!!!

Acctually, yes. Becouse when ther´s hot air , and a cold-front comes, the " chock " the hot and cold air criate this storms, but its more common in spring.
In Rio Grande do Sul, in the same day I toke this pictures, in a city the hail was the size of oranges!!!!!!! Giants hails!!!!!
And this spring its going to be very violent, you know, many storms, tornados, hail.....

Very cold in Brasil!!! This nigth the snow felt in many citis in Rio Grande do Sul e Santa Catarina states! In some cities the people made little snow men!!
The temperatures this mornig in south Brasil variates betewen -2C and 10C in the 3 states at 10:36 AM!! In São Joaquim - Santa Catarina is only -1C!!!

Muito frio no Brasil! Esta noite tivemos neve em vãrias cidades nos estados do Rio Grande do Sul e Santa Catarina. Em algumas cidades o pessoal fez até pequenos bonecos de neve!!
A manhã está muito fria, nos 3 estados a temperatura varia entre -2C e 10C! Em São Joaquim - Santa Catarina apenas -1C! Essas temperaturas as 10:35AM

formoso quadro! ?

I'm wondering if this winter has been normal? Below Average Temperature? or Above Average Temperature? Here in the Northern United States the temperature has been WAY below normal! We have had frost warnings the past few nights north of where i am located... keep up the posts. I guess i've always thought Brazil as a sub-tropical/tropical region.

Look, May was very below temperatures, in my region about -5C the normal, June a litle below, -1/-2C, July was normal/above 0/+1C and august very dry and hot, but i register -0,4C, :lol:

Guyes, I found this in a site, the mountais in RIO DE JANEIRO, whites of snow!!!! This hapend in 1.985 , the mountais of Itatiaia Nathional park are more then 2.000m high!
