Interesting information pertaining to high-altitude clouds (generally seen 40 degrees and northward).

I witnessed a noctilucent cloud several years ago high over the eastern skies above Phoenix. They were caused by a misfired missle from the White Sands Missle Range in New Mexico. It was incredible...even though it was initiated by a man-made event.

Just a note, yesterday the sky was filled with this type of cloud for the entire day, what a sight. My daughter called it the angel's wings.

I wish that I would have taken some pics. It was an awesome sight to say the least.

I've never seen Noctilucent clouds myself, but I'd love to see them... they sound like quite a sight.
