Severe Weather Check-in Policy

#1 Postby southerngale » Thu Mar 04, 2004 5:35 pm

Could everyone please pm me or CajunMama with your contact numbers for the Severe Weather Check-in policy? If you've already sent yours in, then we should have it on file.

Your numbers will only be seen by me, CM, Chad and Marshall. We feel that we can cover the clock very well by having a few of us with them but they will never be used for purposes other than the above mentioned unless you initiate it and we will not share them with anyone else. We want to make sure all of our members are safe in the event severe weather occurs in your area and we don't hear from you. If you do experience severe weather, please post as soon as you can to let everyone know you are ok.

This is an absolutely useless thing to do. It provides no help at all.

This season is no different than the others. We want your information so we can check on you!!! When we have a landfalling storm we will also have check in threads just as we did last season.

Do not post your information here. PM it to the above mentioned people or myself.

Alladin - this is a wonderful thing to do! After Katrina last year they were able to make certain everyone was safe!

Its a good thing to do...cause if they end up calling to check on you& you have a problem and don't know who to call..that person can find out for you.

I think this thread deserves a bump. If you don't feel comfortable doing this at least check in with the thread that is always set up for reports when a storm is threatening somewhere. I know, s2k really is a big family in so many ways, and has gotten alot of us through so many storms in the past and there is a genuine compassion here for those that are affected by storms and we all just need to know that everyone has made it through ok.
