either I am overlooking the evac zones for La. or it is not available. It would be just like our great state to have a disaster website that does not show the zones most likely to flood.

Color scheme?
Whoever thought the color scheme must of been thinking blue is for water. We all associate red as danger, but in this case if you are in the red zone you won't be flooded until cat 5. Blue (which most associate with as safe) is actually the worse color to be in. Thought I was safe being in the blue zone.

Will do...
Currently there are a lot of discussions about the zoning for several areas of Texas so that may take a bit of more time to settle down. The state itself has to decide how they want to treat many areas on an individual basis and that can be rather time consuming.
Louisiana is just caught in the midst of some major re-classification. A lot of it is the desire to give every little ditch and stream a different zone classification from what they have been in previous years. Makes it kind of a pain to do the zoning as anyone who has been through the state can understand.
I will post updates as I hear anything relevant. I won't bother with the usual bickering that happens in any emergency response group though. That stuff works itself out pretty well all things considered.

Here's some info for Texas - don't think it has surge info but does have the 5 risk areas (ie what Cat Hurricane you need to evac for) and the routes for the whole Texas coast.
