Andrea: a perfect test session

#1 Postby CrazyC83 » Wed May 09, 2007 10:52 am

I think that we have a perfect testing ground right now. We should use Andrea as a test storm because what happens come August or September if a Category 4 or 5 storm is bearing down? This would be a good time to get the year's supplies and execute a mock preparation (even a quick evacuation before returning)...it would definitely show strengths and weaknesses in our plans...

This storm was a good reminder that June 1 is only a few weeks ahead. We have plenty of batteries and smaller flashlights. In addition, we have two lanterns and one portable light with a small screen (and radio channels and television stations). This device is very useful. We will purchase more water over the next several weeks and we have four gas cans (each holding five gallons). In addition, our property has shutters for all windows (with the exception of three windows along the sides and porch).
