Gulf Coast may go under hurricane watch tomorrow.

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

At this rate the Hurricane watch could extend as far west as Morgan City or Intracoastal City LA. NOLA will definately be under the watch and it should go as far west as the Ft. Walton Area.

Probably from Morgan City, LA to Panama City, Fl. That is what my thinking is.

I agree. Everyone along the path of this storm should utilize this weekend to prepare for a major hurricane. Do not wait for warnings to be issued!

I think from Morgan City, LA to Destin, FL will be under the hurricane watch. I'm leaning further west though in terms of the path. Will have to watch this closely in Louisiana and Mississippi in particular. But Alabama and the Florida panhandle are not in the clear. Will have to watch this closely.

I'm suspecting that we'll get the Hurricane Watch at the 11AM advisory,
my guess right now would be New Iberia to Panama City
