Looking rather bare..

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
530 AM EDT SAT SEP 3 2005

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
STORM MARIA...CENTERED ABOUT 780 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF THE
NORTHERN LEEWARD ISLANDS.

SHOWER ACTIVITY REMAINS LIMITED IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE TROPICAL
WAVE LOCATED ABOUT MIDWAY BETWEEN AFRICA AND THE LESSER ANTILLES.
ANY DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO IS
EXPECTED TO BE SLOW TO OCCUR AS IT MOVES WESTWARD AT ABOUT 15 MPH

Still a nice big circulation..but whimpy on the convection for now..a key
factor..lol

A LARGE BUT DISORGANIZED AREA OF CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS EXTENDS FROM
JUST SOUTH OF BERMUDA SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE BAHAMAS. THIS ACTIVITY
IS ASSOCIATED WITH A COMPLEX...BROAD...AND NEARLY STATIONARY
SURFACE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE. UPPER-LEVEL WINDS CURRENTLY ARE
NOT FAVORABLE FOR TROPICAL CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT IN THIS AREA...BUT
COULD GRADUALLY BECOME SOMEWHAT MORE FAVORABLE DURING THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS.

Looking more interesting at this point..at least some convection..shear still an issue..
