I had heard that both Governors of North and South Carolina had issued States of Emergency yesterday?

The governor of Virginia has done the same as of like yesterday. Noone wants to take the chance politically of screwing up on a hurricane right now after what happened in NOLA. Of course in NC at least this is an exercise that they're used to, and pretty good at it by this point.

Good luck to you all up there. This has been one agonizing storm. Would be worse if it was alot stronger, but is really nerve racking, just sitting out there spinning away, driving us all nuts! Even if she goes fish, I move that we all sue her for mental anguish!!

What is this I'm hearing around here: Ophelia burnout?

Good grief those long trackers across the Atlantic last longer than this.

What is it really? Is it because she has fried everyones forecast?

I remember a day ago . . ."She's dead" "she's not going to make landfall" "No really I'm sure shes going to hit SC" etc. This is just something to learn by.

Reports are only showing a TS. http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/Southeast.shtml
