How new is that stuff down there on US 1? I don't remember it the last time I was down that way!

Amazing pics, thanks, and glad you are safe.

Not sure ter, but I've lived here over 3 years and it's been here that whole time, and then some probably. There are probably others that could answer that question better.

Thanks, Heather. Those pictures bother me. I can imagine at the track, where the winds were unimpeded for miles, they took a bad hit. At US 1, there is atleast some congestion where winds would be diverted or broke up, so to speak, I was just at that KFC a couple of weeks ago after stopping at the welcome center at the Fairways Hotel next door. I still hav e some photos of the backside of that hotel after Andrew, taken form Krome. All of the power poles snapped, to the east of course, ontop of what was left of the huge hotel. If you drove out Palm to 1, did you notice how the Mutineer Rest. fared or Southern Comfort RV resort? I am sure the Last Chance is fine, and Skeeter was sitting on the stool as you walk in, throughout Wilma. Thanks, the pic's were appreciated. TheShrimper.

The Mutineer seemed to be ok. I didn't see any major damage except to their sign that is right by the Southern Comfort park. As for the park itself, it seemed ok except for trees down. I know a lot of the RVs were gone, so that's good. I saw some pics on NBC 6 of the Speedway. It seems like there was some damage to the main grandstand (they said parts of it were compromised), and damage to the garages. I'll look on the site and see if I can find info. about it. It has been determined that they are going to have the race in 3 weeks though :)

Thanks :) Yeah - the in-law dock is funny to me too because they have a black lab that adores the pool. I was joking with them that she was liable to use that as a sundeck LOL

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Some of those look all too familiar! Good luck and be careful as y'all clean up.
