I was a member (mostly lurker) at GoPBI for years - I think Storm97 was when I joined. In '03, we lived Dallas and I wasn't watching the tropics much, so I missed the mass exodus. I made a post on PBI asking where everyone went and someone posted a link to here - and haven't gone back since.

I also think it's really ironic when the Palm Beach post writes a weather article and mentions Storm2K.

I discovered s2k last year after Rita hit us, KFDM was kind enough to create us a message board on thier tv station website. I think it was southerngale who mentioned this message board. I am a lurker, this is only my 2nd post. I really love reading all of the posts and it's really informative when there is anything swirling around. Thanks guys.

Storm 2K was presented in a list of links of interest for emergency managers. Been hooked on it ever since.

Like many others, former lurker on GoPBI and I became disinterested because of the lack of moderating on it. Somebody posted a mention of Storm2k in a thread and I quickly checked it out. Never went back.

I lurked at GoPBI for quite a few years, until their site kept going down while I was trying to track a storm. Someone posted the link for storm 2k and this is where I've been ever since. A lot of times I don"t even go to NOAA because I can get all the info I need right here!
