Lovely, lovely rain! Send us more!
Here in East Boca Raton, we had so much rainfall in a storm yesterday that there was widespread flooding in some areas. Parking lots turned into lakes and intersections were completely flooded.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me alot if it actually turns into a TC, although I'd be fine with that too. I just want it to move north towards Alabama. We just entered a Stage 3 drought here in the Birmingham area and we're about 16 inches below (with some nearby areas as far as 18 and 19 inches below normal rainfall).

According to the NWS in miami we are in for it...
.DISCUSSION...
IN THE SHORT TERM, LARGE AREA OF CONVECTION WHICH HAS LINGERED
OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN GULF AND LOWER STRAITS OF FLORIDA IS FINALLY
MOVING EAST AND NORTHEAST. THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH THE MOST
FAVORABLE DYNAMICS SHIFTING GRADUALLY EASTWARD ACROSS SOUTH
FLORIDA. THIS MEANS THAT PARTS OF SOUTH FLORIDA WILL BE UNDER THE
GUN FOR HEAVY RAIN TONIGHT, AND SATELLITE PRECIP ESTIMATES FROM SAB
INDICATE UP TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WITH THIS CONVECTION. GFS, WHICH
HAS BEEN SHOWING PLENTY OF PRECIP BULLS EYES OVER SOUTH FLORIDA THE
LAST FEW RUNS, APPEARS TO HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA AS FAR AS THE
POTENTIAL FOR WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAIN, EVEN IF THE LOCATION MAY NOT
BE PROGGED CORRECTLY. THEREFORE, WILL KEEP LIKELY POPS OVER
SOUTHERN PARTS OF AREA AND 50 PERCENT FOR NORTHERN AREAS TONIGHT, AND
CONTINUE TO MENTION THE POSSIBILITY OF HEAVY RAIN.
