Yet another MASSIVE invasion of dusty African air has exited the coasts of NW Africa. This does not bode well for the tropical waves in the central and eastern Atlantic. I would expect this to create an extraordinarily fast forward motion on these disturbances. If that happens NO chances for development in the near term.

... your doin' a Heck of a job, SETX! keep the dust coming by what ever means you can. I'm a big fan of dry, dusty air this time of year. We still need time to finish the levee's around here.

Rita was enough for me...she had already weakened by the time she got to where I was and 75 mph winds are not fun when surrounded by pine trees - they break like toothpicks and fall on your house.
