I would imagine so... the models are showing that and well if that is stationary and the wave is moving at about 10 to 15 kts its not a far stretch.

Luis, I think both of our features will merge to form this system. IMO, this is looking more and more like a hurricane down the line, but that is pure speculation on my part. Looks like the wait has been cut short...

Big ITCZ paragraph at 2 PM Discussion:

THE ITCZ AXIS IS ANALYZED ALONG 11N18W 9N25W 8N37W 12N46W 13N52W

This one has a nice little anticyclone over it which is fanning out the high cirrus. There seems to be some sort of CC turning with it already.

Yeah I think we may well have to pick one of these threads over the other one sooner or later, the convection is not really moving, just flaring up in various places. Turning still around 29W.

We will most likely merge these, but if an invest is designated we will lock these both.

For now, this blob is the one circled, but the models want to merge both features...

So far, 12 Euro is out to 144 hours. Seems about the same strength as last night's run at this time as it waited to develop it.

However, the ridge looks stronger so far and is further south

How are invest labeled? Started with 9xL but this one could be 22L. I am sure there is a rhyme or reason.
