(Note: storm numbers in parenthesis had been finalled out by NHC prior to Aug 30) Also listed is the date Tropical Depression Eleven formed between 1993 and 2003. At the end of each list is the 10 year average ('93-'02). Compare the averages with this year and complain about a slow hurricane season.

Yes if september is as normally it is active we will be looking at a very active season at the end with high numbers of named systems but not quite as 1995 when 19 systems formed.
