What's with the GOM on that map? Almost all dark -- no info?

That's a great link for an animated look at the

Wave watch III significant heights and Direction of the waves ...

The reason why the GOM stays relatively dark because that model run doesn't foresee anything to really disturb the wave heights significantly and in fact, sea surfaces waves are expected to remain generally smooth.
