This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Feel free to move this post to the corresponding topic. In the meantime, you all should agree this is a very interesting way to iniciate a Forecast Discussion Area.

.SHORT TERM...PICKING A MODEL OF CHOICE FOR THE DAY IS A LITTLE
LIKE SPEED-DATING: TOO LITTLE TIME/INFORMATION TO MAKE UP THE
MIND LEADING TO REGRETS BY THE END OF THE DATE/SHIFT. THE
AMERICAN NAM IS MODERN, DETAIL-ORIENTED, PROLIFIC, WILLING IF A
LITTLE IMPETUOUS AND INCREDIBLY REACTIONARY. THE AMERICAN
GFS--THE MODEL NEXT DOOR--QUITE OLD FASHIONED, AN OPEN BOOK, EASY
ON THE EYES IF A LITTLE STAID AT TIMES. ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT THE
FUTURE WHILE WHITE-WASHING THE PRESENT. THE CANADIAN SOMETIMES A
LITTLE PRO-EUROPEAN SOMETIMES A LITTLE PRO AMERICAN...MANY TIMES
HARD TO READ, BUT OFTEN HAS A SUNNIER OUTLOOK THAN THE OTHERS.
TOO SUNNY SOMETIMES. AND THAT EUROPEAN ONE...INTELLIGENT, TREND-
SETTING, AND ALLURING-- ONLY APPEARING TWICE A DAY--MAKES ME WANT
MORE. AND TODAY I WANTED MORE AGAIN SO I MADE MY SELECTION. BUT
SOMETIMES I LOOK BACK AND WONDER WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN...

 LOL Next time we hear about Government Employees requesting a need to preserve their very much earned personal and vacation time, lets pause for a second and consider the long mundane winter nights for those of us living & working up in "the Great White North". Further evidence how our brains can turn to Jello over time, due to lack of adequate sunlight or exposure to other forms of artificial light/light therapy :P

Want an even better chuckle? For those of us who know (but especially knew) Dr. Neil Frank back in the day when he was NHC Director..... imagine if such a Tropical Cyclone Discussion was written during our active Atlantic season, and perhaps leading up to or during a tense landfall threat or event?!! What I would've paid to see and hear Dr. Franks' reaction to such a discussion!! Priceless :)
