#1 Postby ericinmia » Fri Sep 12, 2003 11:37 pm

Here is a very interesting side by side comparison of storms!
I used the Storm Tracker software off of http://www.wtvj.com, a SFLA NBC affiliate.

the ULL that was over the bahamas seems to have dissapeared in the Infared, the water loop still has it with a little reminance!

Noaa is predicting for south fla that the high from the gulf and the high from the atlantic are going to merge this weekend!

That is no good, this could be turning in the Andrew REMIX! LOL

If only we could throw p diddy on izzy he could def. ruin it!

Peace!

Ex cellent Map - thanks for that. I posted info regarding Betsy and Andrew the other day just to show that anything is possible. No one thought Andrew would cross Florida. When Betsy was around - the resources weren't available and we had very little notice when Betsy came creeping up through the Gulf and then to New Orleans.

I have learned one thing after being in hurricanes since 1962 - nothing is for certain until it hits land. (and then sometimes nothing is for certain - was it Juan that kept going in and out of the Gulf a few years back? - that certainly wasn't predicted!) Take last season for example when the gulf coast braced itself for Izzy and Lili - wasn't much there when all was said and done (thank God). That doesn't mean the big one won't be right around the corner.

I say everyone watch and not let your guard down. A last minute turn and all of a sudden it hits your news channel and you wonder what happened after you have heard for days that there is nothing to worry about.

Good luck to all of us.

Yes Sircane! Thanks for brightening my morning, but what I really noticed is how far north Andrew got before taking a trip south

Thanks for the info and maps! Enlightening and helpful. Floridians should really stay alert. If she does turn -- GREAT! But don't hold your breath.
