Starting to move more rapidly and a turn more to the NW is expected also they say there is some chance to increase in the winds prior to landfall.

No that city is too far inland to be affected unless it moves WNW 285 degrees and now it is moving 330 degrees but slowly turning NW soon however for Raleigh it has to make landfall south of Wilminghton to then the city be more affected.

Cloudy and breezy. I'd guess 15-20 mph winds right now. First rain band is about 70 nm offshore. I'm debating leaving my inland home and visiting friends at Carolina Beach for this storm.

Thanks for the update, Luis. Agreed that the winds may increase prior to landfall.

Yep. I know a lot of these posters from the Weather Channel message boards. No rainstorm here. This is a rainstorm-free site.

BTW, I am Hurricane Alley there.
